ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The eligibility criteria for getting into Sir MVIT College is based primarily on your performance in the qualifying examinations. The total score you have obtained in the KCET entrance exam and similar tests are also considered for Sir MVIT admissions, based on the type of degree you have completed (in case of PG). The aspirants applying for undergraduate programs need to clear the COMDEK or KCET exam. Graduate students who want to apply for admission to PG courses in Sir MVIT College need to clear the PGCET or GATE exam.

B.E

The aspiring student must have passed 10+2 examination with mandatory physics and mathematics subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical as a Vocational course.

Minimum aggregate is 45% marks for general and 40% for the reserved category of Karnataka

M.Tech

The candidate with a B.E/B.Tech degree or equivalent from a college recognized VTU or other Universities.

MBA

The candidate must have passed an undergraduate degree that is recognized by any Indian University.

MCA

The aspirant must have passed BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent Degree.

Eligibility Criteria for B.E Courses (Lateral Entry)

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for B.E(Lateral Entry) in Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Bangalore are:

  • The candidate must have completed Diploma from any AICTE approved institute.
  • He/she must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
  • Minimum aggregate is 45% marks in [10+2] pattern for general students and 40% for the reserved category of Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Courses

  • The aspirant must have a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam
  • The minimum aggregate required for the reserved category candidate from Karnataka is 45%.

Eligibility Criteria for M.B.A Course

  • Minimum aggregate is 50% marks in the UG degree for general students
  • 45% is the minimum aggregate marks required to get admission for the candidates belonging to the reserved category of Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria for M.C.A Course

  • He/she must have pursued B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation Level.
  • Minimum aggregate is 50% marks for general students and 45% for the reserved category of Karnataka.
