About the College: 

Ramaiah College of Law (formerly known as M.S. Ramaiah College of Law, MSRCL) was established in 1995, by Dr. Late M.S.Ramaiah with a vision to impart quality legal education and established it as Centre of Excellence. It is recognized by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b) and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. Since its inception, it has been gaining significant recognition for boasting a highly qualified and experienced faculty who leave no stone unturned to enrich the students' skill set in the field of law.It is affiliated with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi.

5 Year Integrated LLB Program The candidate must pass the +2 exam in any stream with a minimum of 45% (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences) from any recognised Board in India.

Student Life:

Apart from legal educational activities, the students at Ramaiah Law College, Bangalore participate in extra-curricular and cultural events. There are mentorship programmes, bridge courses and training conducted regularly for the students. At this law institute, the student can become a member of the debate club and sports club, besides the literary club and cultural club. 

Scholarship:

In order to encourage meritorious students a Institutional Scholarship scheme has been introduced for the academic year, 2024-2025 and is given in the form of fee concession which is Rs. 10,000/- for the students who have secured 90% marks in the 12th or 2nd Puc. This fee concession is restricted towards the first-year fee only.

FAQs

1. What is the difference between 5 years B.A, LL.B. and 3 years LL.B.?

The only major difference between the 5 years B.A, LL.B. course and the 3 years LL.B. program is that the former is usually studied by students, who wish to join college after their 12th standard board examination. While the latter is useful for UG graduates with a B.Com or B.A degree.

 

2. What is the eligibility criteria?

To get admission at MS Ramaiah College of Law, you should have passed the Pre-University Course or a Senior Secondary School course (‘+2’) or at least an equivalent of the same. You should have also scored a minimum of 45% in your examination with some relaxation for SC and ST candidates. And you should be under 20 years to pursue the course itself as on 1st June of the year seeking admission.

 

3. Can I take LL.B. on a part-time or distance learning basis?

No, the LL.B course generally cannot be pursued on a part-time basis or in the correspondence academic structure.
