BMS School of Architecture – Eligibility Criteria

BMS School of Architecture is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, a well-recognized university and accredited by the Council of Architecture. The institute offers Undergraduate (B.Arch), Postgraduate (M.Arch), and Doctoral (PhD) courses on Architecture. The B.Arch admission procedure at this institute begins in May every year. Aspiring architects who want to obtain admission in BMS school of architecture under government quota or private quota or management quota to pursue Architecture Degree or Doctoral programme must meet the eligibility criteria.

Course Name Eligibility

B.Arch

Candidates must pass 10+2 or equivalent examinations with at least 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics from a recognized Board or University

(OR)

Students must pass 10+3 Diploma Examination with at least 50% aggregate marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

M.Arch (Urban Design)

Candidates must pass B.Arch or equivalent examinations from a recognized Institute or University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks 

Ph.D

Candidates must pass M.Arch or equivalent examinations from a recognized Institute or University

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch

Other eligibility criteria for undergraduate B.Arch program are as follows:

  • Candidates must secure a valid score in NATA/JEE Paper 2 and qualify for Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government.
  • The aspirant applying through COMEDK must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in NATA. 
  • Students belong to SC/ST/OBC category must obtain at least 45% aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Arch

Other eligibility criteria for undergraduate M.Arch program are as follows:

  • Candidates must qualify successfully for Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)/GATE
  • The candidate who obtains valid marks in GATE can apply for direct admission. 
  • Students belong to SC/ST/OBC category must pass with at least 45% aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D.

Other eligibility criteria for the doctoral program is as follows:

  • The students must qualify successfully for VRAT Test and VTU interview.
