BMS School of Architecture is renowned for offering top-quality Undergraduate (B.Arch) and Postgraduate (M.Arch) Architecture course and Doctoral program (Ph.D) for the aspiring students. A student who wishes to pursue an Architecture degree in this college can get admission either under government quota or private quota or management quota for the UG Course. For PG Course, PGCET is the government exam conducted and published by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
Interested students can also obtain admission to both UG and PG Courses in this prestigious architecture school through the Management Quota. The admission process that the college abides by is based on the rules and regulations of VTU.
Aspiring student seeking B.Arch Admission in BMS School of Architecture must meet the eligibility criteria to pursue the degree course. He/she can get admission in BMS School of Architecture under government or private or management quota. Applying at BMS Educational Trust is mandatory if a student seeks admission under the college Management quota. The total number of seats available for the B.Arch UG Course is 120.
In the total seats, 45% of the seats are reserved for the government quota, 30% are reserved for the private quota and the remaining 25% of seats are filled under the management quota.
The candidate taking admission under government quota with valid marks scored in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) will undergo counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The selection will be done based on the current year ranking list published by KEA.
The students seeking under private quota (COMEDK) will be considered for the admission based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination like +2 or PUC and the marks scored in NATA Entrance Exam. The merit list will be prepared by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). For Architecture courses, there is no separate examination.

Candidates must pass B.Arch or equivalent examinations from a recognized Institute or University and qualify successfully for Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) that the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts if they seek admission under government quota. Qualifications that the Council of Architecture (COA) regulations recognize and Indian Institute of Architects (AIIA) awards are considered equivalent to B.Arch degree.
Students with the eligible GATE score can get apply and get direct admission to the BMS School of Architecture Bangalore. The seat allocation for the M.Arch (Urban Design) is given below. In the total seats, 20% of the seats are reserved for the government quota and the remaining 80% of seats are filled under the management quota.
The candidate taking admission under government quota must have qualified with valid scores in Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test(PGCET). Once the merit list is published by must Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), the candidate will be called for the counselling conducted by the KEA. The aspiring candidate with valid scores in the GATE Exam can apply for the admission under government quota.
The aspirants candidate taking who seek admission under the management quota, must have qualified rom qualifying for the GATE Exam or other equivalent exam that is recognized by the Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU) or Government of Karnataka.
